In Scentsy we are all self employed but we are always offered help, support and training from our direct sponsor (person we sign in under) and the directors and even super star directors who are above us. We have had loads of support from everyone in Scentsy but in particular we have had great support from Sarah and Gil, superstar directors from Maine, USA. So it was a very exciting night when we finally got to meet them after 15 months of email, facebook and skype.
We meet up with them at the same time as we met the lovely Dorothy Thurman and her husband, Wickless Rick. They are leaders of our entire team and have over 24,000 people under them but they invited us to spend time with them and bought us the most beautiful snowglobe (which thanks to Virgin Airlines) made it home to have pride of place in our study now. We enjoyed a great meal and met several other very succesful Scentsy consultants – it was great to hear how they all started out with just a dream of making money, loving the Scentsy products and that they still have great fun with Scentsy today.
After dinner and party time in Dorothy and Rick’s amazing suite with views over the strip, we chatted more with Gil and Sarah back in our stunning hotel suite (thanks Scentsy for spoiling us). The boys decided to do gym stuff in the morning whilst Sarah and I would relax. We had a great morning exploring Vegas with them (after Scott killed Gil in the Gym) and headed down to register them for the Scentsy Convention about midday.
At our first Scentsy Convention last year we had 44 people including partners – at this one the que was a mile long as 12,000 excited, facepainted, sparkling, bling encrusted Scentsy mad consultants waited to register. This Scentsy thing was BIG really BIG….
We spent the afternoon meeting Scentsy Consultants, having pictures with them as we were mini celebs to them having come from Europe, and shopping in the 150,000ft scentsy store. It was incredible to see such excitement and passion for a company and product – Scentsy people are a special breed and bags of fun. Finally it was time to get our VIP seats and we sat at the front , just behind Orville’s Mum and Dad, Leon and Elaine – they were very welcoming and posed in our Union Jack glasses. Remembering our great day out with Orville, Heidi and their family the day before and how normal they were it was surprising to suddenly see them on stage being cheered by 12,000 fans/Scentsy Consultants.
After the welcome show we went to enjoy some serious Scentsy hospitality at the THREE, Yes THREE Vegas Parties. We grooved with Elvis and the Rat Pack, Hung out (literally) with the Cirque de Solei and rocked out with DJ Rage in the Ultra bar. The food was incredible, drinks were flowing and fun was had by all. This convention was going to be incredible with lots of exciting product reveals, including the new brand …what would it be. For us however we were looking forward to a WALKING THE STAGE….tell you how that went tomorrow 😉
