Alexandra & Scott Wickfree Are Finalists For Scentsy’s Most Prestigious Award
Alexandra and Scott Wickfree, International Scentsy Team Leaders and Business Mentors, were recently revealed finalists for the Alice Kalilimoku Shining Star Award. Scentsy President Heidi Thompson announced the surprise live on stage at Scentsy’s first ever global convention in Anaheim, USA. Heidi explained to the 8000 strong Scentsy Audience that this was the first year the award had been given on a global scale, with the six finalist being picked from over 110,000 consultants.
Orville Thompson, CEO of Scentsy, joined Heidi on Stage and explained what the award was about. “The Shining star is an award that goes to the person who best represents our mission to Warm the Heart, Enliven the Senses and Inspire the Soul. These leaders LIVE Scentsy!” he said “Through their hard work, versatility and heart, our Shining Stars have reimagined their lives and the lives of others with Scentsy. Every day they share their spirit and help others do the same.”
Alexandra, who had to go on stage alone to collect the nomination as Scott was looking after Theia back at the hotel said, “I was so sad my partner in crime couldn’t join me on stage for the nomination; then again if he had I would have cried as i was so shocked to even be nominated. To think our peers, from inside our Emerald All Stars team and in the wider Scentsy family wrote in letters of nomination blows me away. We love what we do and get huge joy from helping others achieve the success we enjoy in the Scentsy business so to be finalist for the company’s top award is simply icing on a wonderful cake”.
As Shining Star Finalists, Scentsy treated The Wickfrees like royalty for the convention. This included a back stage meeting with keynote speaker and three-time Olympic Cyclist Kristen Armstrong, a special tag for their lanyard (and for future years) and the chance to talk on stage with the other finalists in front of 8,000 consultants.
“Meeting an Olympian and holding a real Olympic Medal is one of my top Scentsy moments ever. Kristen just walked over, handed me this Gold Medal from 2012 Rio Games and said here take some pictures with it. ! As a sportsman myself i know the dedication, drive and sacrifices it takes to be the top of your game so i was blown away by how humble Kristen is and by the weight of that medal, it’s truly something incredible to achieve” said Scott.
At the Award Night Alexandra’s ‘Partner in crime’ Scott did get to join her on stage, along with other finalists from The USA, Canada and Australia/New Zealand and Scenty’s Owners, Orville and Heidi Thompson.
Becca and Kallie were overall winners of the 2018 Shining Star. “We can’t think of two more deserving people to earn this award and we are thrilled that they are our business mentors and friends” Said Scott. Alexandra added “We have had most wonderful convention in Anaheim and being finalists made it extra magical. We want to thank everyone who took the time to write in and the awards panel for feeling we were deserving finalists.
