Electric wax warmers heat scented wax melts using a low-wattage bulb or hot plate to fill your home with fragrance safely and consistently. No flame, no wick, no soot. How Does a Scentsy Electric Wax Warmer Work?

A Scentsy electric wax warmer uses a low-wattage heat source, either a 25-watt bulb in most full-size models or a low-wattage hot plate in newer designs, to warm the wax dish to around 56 degrees. At that temperature, the fragrance oils in the scented wax melts slowly evaporate into the room. The wax itself does not burn or disappear. It stays in the dish and is removed and replaced only when the fragrance is fully spent.

This gentle, controlled heat is what sets Scentsy electric warmers apart from tealight burners. Tealight burners run hotter and less consistently, which burns through fragrance oils far faster. In a Scentsy electric warmer, each cube typically gives us around two days of fragrance in our 15 years of daily use. In a tealight burner, the same cube might last 4 to 6 hours. How Long Do Scentsy Warmers Last?

The short answer is: indefinitely, because of the lifetime warranty. Scentsy warmers do not have a typical lifespan. The bulb in a 25-watt warmer may need replacing after extended use, but the warmer itself is warranted for life. Scott and I still have warmers from our early years as consultants that are running perfectly today.

The bulbs in Scentsy warmers are standard 25-watt candelabra bulbs available in our accessories range and from most hardware shops. Newer Scentsy warmer models use a hot plate element and require no bulb at all.
