Scentsy UK’s First Incentive Trip Kicks Off In Las Vegas
It’s hard to believe that this time two weeks ago Alexandra and myself were in Las Vegas. I have meant to write a blog about our trip for the last two weeks but this is the first opportunity i have had to sit down since we departed for the trip to Las Vegas just over two weeks ago. We were Scentsy’s first ever UK earners of an all expenses paid trip for two and earned in in December 2011.
Our trip started with checking in at our five star accommodation on the Las Vegas strip in the newly built Cosmopolitan. As a family Alexandra, Carys and myself do travel alot and have stayed in many hotels in different countries. But the Cosmopolitan was by far the most luxurious hotel we have stayed in.
Alexandra and myself were hungry so we decided to head down the strip to see what we could find and then we headed to bed as it had been a long long day. Vegas seemed totally nuts and after dreaming of going for years i really wasnt sure what we were letting ourselves in for.
After an early morning rise (due to the time difference) we met up with the other Scentsy Independent Consultants who had earned the trip and went for breakfast. We had the day to ourselves and spent it with Mark and Claire Tilley and it was great fun (despite Mark getting us lost on a three mile walk in 100 degree heat). We headed to our hotel room to shower and rest, but Scentsy got us all excited with the goodies they left on our bed. As if we were not excited enough to be going out to dinner with Heidi and Orville Thompson, Scentsy’s CEO and President.
All suited and booted Alexandra and myself headed for dinner. It was great to spend time with Orvillie and Heidi and their children, not forgetting the other consultants on the trip, and members of the Scentsy family team and to round off the night for me there was steak on the menu YUM YUM. After a great time chatting with Orville and Heidi and with stomachs full we were ready for bed – no chance of a late night on the slots as we had been told at dinner we were heading to the Grand Canyon for a private tour by plane and a dinner at an Indian Reservation
Best bit of the day for me was seeing the Orville and Heidi were as down to earth and friendly as all the corporate videos make them out to be. We always want to meet people we look up to and are often disappointed by the reality but i can honestly say i was delighted to find out they were authentic!
