My Scentsy Travels to Milan, Italy
One of the unexpected benefits of joining Scentsy as a consultant has been a lot of travel, both locally in Ireland and further a field. Most recently I got to travel to Italy and Spain with friends and as we had just started selling Scentsy warmers and flameless candles in both countries I took my Tilia warmer and some testers, catalogues etc with me to show my foreign friends. They smiled encouragingly as i tried to explain it was ‘una candela senza fiamma profumata, fuliggine libero e sicuro per le case‘. They loved the product and hte price point – so there are a few Italian houses now scentisified.
Everyone who saw the warmer in action totally loved its safety and lack of soot or toxins, but of course it was the incredible fragrance they give off that won them all over. I did some market research as well in Milan at the big department and was surprised to discover the warmers we love in the UK and Ireland the Italians think are like urns – but they love the bright warmers no one here buys.
