Understanding Replacement Scentsy Bulb Sizes
Finding the Perfect Bulb for Your Warmer Choosing the right bulb size for your Scentsy warmer is essential. Depending on your warmer type, you’ll need one of three sizes & wattages:
- Mini-Warmers: Require a 15w bulb with a candelabra stem. Avoid common errors like using a standard 4W nightlight bulb. Opt for authentic Scentsy bulbs for effective melting.
- Full-Size Warmers: Typically need either a 20w or 25w bulb. Some will need a 40-watt Edison Bulb – like our Parlour Scentsy Warmer.
Determining the Right Wattage:
- Consult the current Scentsy catalogue if your warmer is listed.
- Check the grey sticker on the bottom of your warmer.
- Refer to the replacement Scentsy Bulb Sizing Chart.
- Or, ask me directly for guidance.

Can I use a different brand bulb in my Scentsy warmers??
Yes, but ensure you use the correct wattage. Using a higher wattage replacement Scentsy bulb can damage your warmer and void the warranty. Incorrect wattage can also lead to inefficient melting or faster scent evaporation.
So honestly with our bargain 3 pack bulb packs i would always recommend to buy your replacement bulbs from Scentsy.
How Long Does a Scentsy Bulb Last?
Scentsy bulbs typically last at least a year when warmers are left on continuously. Frequent on/off cycles may reduce bulb life.
Every lightbulb functions by warming a filament wire, which is as thin as a strand of hair. This filament undergoes stress each time it heats up (when the warmer is turned on) and cools down (when the warmer is turned off). Frequent temperature changes can cause the filament to break down more quickly.
What’s the implication? Keeping your bulbs continuously on is actually more cost-effective. By doing so, the filament endures much longer, extending the life of your bulb.
In Scentsy mini warmers, replacing the bulb every 8-12 months is recommended.
Do I need a lightbulb for my Element warmer or my Diffuser?
Element warmers use a warming plate, and Scentsy Diffusers use internal LED lights, which do not require Scentsy bulb replacements. Should the lights in your Diffuser cease to function, a new base is likely required. Fortunately, this situation is covered under the Limited Lifetime Warranty.
The Bottom Line on New Scentsy Bulbs
Choose authentic Scentsy bulbs for reliability and longevity. Stock up with a 3-pack in the size and wattage you need.
Happy Warming!
