Ultimate Scentsy Candles FAQs: Everything You Need to Know
Welcome to your Ultimate Scentsy Candles FAQs — because with the biggest glow-up in Scentsy history just around the corner, it’s time to answer all your burning questions about our brand-new candles.
Scentsy Candles are launching this September in the USA and Canada — and the rest of the world is next in line! If you’re excited, curious, or even a little confused about what’s coming, don’t worry — this Ultimate Scentsy Candles FAQs blog covers it all.
What are Scentsy Candles made of?
Scentsy Candles are made with a premium soy-paraffin blend designed to burn cleanly and evenly, maximise fragrance throw, reduce smoke and soot, and deliver a smooth, creamy wax finish.
Every candle is tested to the highest standards for safety, performance, and scent quality. Learn more about what Scentsy Candles are made of in our detailed blog on What is a Scentsy Candle?.
Do Scentsy Candles use special wicks?
Yes. Each candle features either a natural or synthetic wick, carefully selected to suit the fragrance and vessel size. This helps ensure an even burn and consistent fragrance without tunnelling or wick drowning.
Learn more about this in our comprehensive blog How to Use Multi-Wick Scentsy Candles the Right Way.
Will Scentsy Candles smoke or create soot?
Scentsy Candles are crafted for a low-smoke, clean-burning experience when used as directed and are tested to meet ASTM International safety standards.
How do I safely burn a Scentsy candle?
Trim the wick to approximately 0.6 cm before each use. Burn for no more than 4 hours at a time. Extinguish the candle when approximately 0.6 cm of wax remains. Keep it away from drafts and flammable materials, and always place it on a stable, heat-resistant surface.

Why is there wax left in the bottom?
A small amount of wax left at the base is intentional. It helps prevent the jar from overheating at the bottom and protects the vessel from cracking as part of a safety-first design.

Why isn’t the Scentsy wax coloured?
Scentsy doesn’t use dyes in its candles. The natural wax colour may vary slightly depending on the fragrance oils used, helping maintain a clean, elegant appearance.

How strong are the Scentsy Candle scents?
Scentsy Candles deliver a subtle, ambient scent. They offer a more delicate fragrance experience than Scentsy Bars or Pods and are ideal for those who prefer a softer background scent.
