Scentsy Convention - getting to walk the stage

Donny and Maria Osmond kick of Scentsy 2012 Convention

Scentsy convention kicked off in style by Donny and Marie Osmond - yes the real Osmonds!  The screams of 12,000 Scentsy consultants was deafening but i think Scott was shouting as loud.  Thinking to the intimate, small convention we have in UK and Ireland at the moment it was incredible to think that if we wait eight years we could have renowned pop stars opening our convention.  With Donny and Marie gone it was the turn of the real stars, Heidi and Orville to Light it up in Vegas (the theme convention) and then we were off...taken back stage to prepare for our special walk on stage.

To celebrate us earning the incentive trip and showcase the work of the European consultants - this was a real honor for the five of us who made the trip.  Scott and I decided to make the most of it and came ready to represent the UK/Irish team with both nations flags, glasses and a grass skirt! (skirt was Scott's choice).  We didn't have time for nerves as we were herded on to the stage - bright lights, cheers and hugs from Heidi and Orville and then it was all over....more cheering as we left and i managed not to fall over in my flip-flops.

The most exciting part of the day was the launch of GRACE ADELE - Scentsy's new handbag and jewellery brand.  Of course Heidi and Orville love to tease so the night before they had dressed the family up in plastic tape - and told us they were launching a range of patterned masking tapes to make clothes with!  I have to say the Grace Adele idea might work better and to celebrate the launch Scentsy gave every consultant at the event a free bag/clutch bag and jewellery.  Thats 12,000 free gifts well does it need saying - the crowds went nuts!

If that wasnt enough we had a private lunch time concert from the Estrelles (X Factor 2011 hopefuls from Liverpool).  They were really sweet girls and had amazing talent - I don't want to tell Simon Cowell his job but i think they are very talented and deserve every success.  After a long photo session (Scott enjoyed himself with the girls) we enjoyed a fun packed afternoon of speakers, awards and product launches.  Then we rushed home and were whisked off to dinner and to see KA - Cirque De Solei at the MGM Grand Hotel.  I have always wanted to see the Cirque de Solei but have never had the cash - so this really was a dream come true and i wasnt disappointed.  Only thing I was sad at is that the day was over....but we still had one more day of convention and the awards reception to look forward to.

I still cant believe i went to Las Vegas all expenses paid for selling a product i love. I would love to share next years incentive trip of a European Cruise with you. Why not join our Scentsy team today and join us on the Cruise. For more information please email me at [email protected] or check out our facebook and twitter pages
