Amsterdam to Host Annual Scentsy Convention in 2019
Scentsy Consultants from UK, Ireland and Europe are exited to paint The City of Freedom purple when they visit Amsterdam for their Annual Direct Sales Scentsy Convention from 15-17 August 2019. Who is joining our Scentsy Team in Amsterdam for this once in a lifetime event?
Scentsy Family Reunion (SFR) is an annual event and since this will be our eighth SFR in Europe, and the second European-wide one, Scentsy had to choose a location that was centrally located and easy to get to. Plus, we wanted to choose a city that would be a fun and exciting destination for you and your Scentsy family to experience.
Amsterdam is home to colourful houses, unique architecture, canals and bridges and loads more for Scentsy Consultants to enjoying their downtime. And during the Amsterdam Scentsy Convention we can look forward to everything from product reveals and unique training to TONS of Scentsy Spirit, it’s the can’t-miss event of the year. Scentsy already has strong links to The Netherlands as our distribution warehouse is based there, and personally we have a lot of Dutch Scentsy Customers as well.
Did you know you can now buy Scentsy products in The Netherlands - if you want to see our Scentsy catalogue or purchase our Scentsy Bars and Warmers then please contact me here and I can explain how we can ship them to you.
Our Scentsy business offers us the chance to work our business whilst enjoying amazing family holidays. Our latest trip took us to five countries in two weeks as we toured Northern Europe over easter, visiting some of our Scentsy Consultants and Customers and taking in the sites and sounds of The Netherlands, Germany, Luxembourg, Belgium and France. One thing we love about living in europe is how diverse cultures all live side by side. Within one car journey we can drive three countries, enjoy trying to speak three new languages whilst trying to order the varied local cuisine of each area.
Our visit to the Netherlands saw us delivering some new Scentsy Bars and Warmers out to a few customers in Zeeland area. Customers always laugh that our Scentsy Warehouse is in the Netherlands, and yet the parcels had to come ot me in Spain and be brought up in the car ;-) I cant wait for the day we can welcome Scentsy consultants in the Netherlands and help them learn to sell Scentsy. After we played Postman Pat we took time out to visit the stunning Veere and Middelburg, shopping of course meant checking out what Candles you love in the Netherlands and checking out if Scentsy has any competition - it doesn’t lol.
I hope you enjoy this little video of the Wickfree Family's trip out in the Netherlands. And of course if you want to buy Scentsy or register an interest in selling Scentsy in the Netherlands (should we ever open there) please contact me here.
Trip to Visit our Scentsy
Consultants in France
You guys know Scott and I love to travel so when Scentsy Fragrance opened in France we were thrilled to have an excuse to visit the land of red wine, great food and Gallic charm. We now have a great team of French Scentsy consultants so we decided to go to Toulouse to visit with our two French team leaders, Pascal and Kat. We were made so welcome by both them and their families so i wanted to share a few of my favourite photos from our trip.
Here we are meeting one of Scentsy France's consutlant leaders, Kat Rosier, in Toulouse - Theia is watching us taking a picture ;-)
Scentsy is a very family friendly company so we went out as families sightseeing around Toulouse and then went for the most wonderful Indian dinner.
Then we all spent the afternoon playing in the snow. drinking hot chocolate and eating pastry - honestly working your own candle business in france is really good fun ;-)
We love our history so our Scentsy Man in France, Pascal Messina, took us to see the Medieval city of Carcassonne. Walking round this city it was clear to see where Disney got its inspiration for all those castles! I had a blast using my college French on Pascal and his wife Veronique whilst google translate did the job for Scott.
This is one of my favourite photos of the Wickfree Family meeting the MessinaCandles Family. Pascal started his home candle business with Scentsy because he loved the safety aspect of our candles (no flames) following a house fire in his parents home.
As you blog readers know we also love to eat...so imagine our delight when we were invited to have dinner at with the Messina Family and lunch with Kat and her family - we enjoyed champagne, and the traditional Toulousian Cassoulet, and played with Kat's raclette (the same one Velata sells in the USA). You can see our YUMMY food experiences in technicolor on our You Tube videos below.
Scentsy is a work from home business technically - but i love the fact we have made it our work from anywhere business. We have made new friends in Kat and Pascal and their families and if you would like to be become part of our Scentsy team and family in france or anywhere please contact me for our free information pack.
I am a Scentsy Director
Boot Camp Graduate
I just returned from a trip stateside where I became the first ever European director to attend and graduate from Scentsy's Director Boot Camp. This camp aims to give Directors the tools and skills they need to become the best leaders in the company. The training camp took place at Scentsy Commons, our purpose-built company headquarters in Boise Idaho, which i have always wanted to see. It was the trip of a lifetime and much fun was had and friends made - we did even manage to learn a few useful things as well.
I arrived in Boise a few days early and had the most fun hanging out with another Scentsy Star Director, Becky and her family. We visited Table Rock Mountain and her wonderful children introduced me to Displaicble Me and White Chocolate Popcorn, Root Bear Floats and Cinnamon Roll. Becky also threw a lovely dinner for me and the Australian Directors who were attending and we were surprised to find Orville and Heidi Thompson (Scentsy CEO and President) were there. It felt like a great family party.
Next day we started boot camp all dressed as super heros to mark the fact that our Boot Camp was nearly cancelled in August but we had to rescued it. We cracked on with lessons in leadership, balancing working from home and having a life and enjoyed some talks from several succesful Scentsy Superstar Directors. It was inspiring to here their stroies of success and to know the lifechanging incomes we could all be earning if we keep working hard.
Day two included a visit to the place Scentsy consultants worldwide refer to as THE FARM. This is the place the billion dollar direct sales company was born and where the first Scentsy bars were first poured by hand and wrapped in clingfilm. We got to sit in Orville's office and see the boardroom with its car seat chairs and old door as a makeshift table.
We enjoyed a wonderful graduation dinner and I was really excited to spend some quality time again with Elaine and Leon Thompson (Orville's mum and dad) who we met in Las Vegas and had so much fun with on our Med Cruise Incentive trip in 2013. This picture celebrates me being the first european graduate.
This trip was everything i had hoped for and much much more. I have made some brilliant new friends with directors from the USA, Canada, Mexico and Australia. We are all very excited for a reunion in Cancun, Mexico when we met in January for our Leadership retreat. I also got to star in a new Scentsy Corporate video whilst there but i will tell you more about that in the next blog ;-).
Of you want to find out more about joining Scentsy and becoming a Director please contact me for our information pack.
